Not sure if this is the correct forum to ask my question or not.  I have been using Live Mail with my new computer with 8.1 for a few weeks now, and have not had a problem recieving and sending mail that way.  But I have had trouble sending photos.  I selected the email photo option, selected medium size, but keep getting error messages when I try to send it.  I did manage to finally get it to my outbox folder, and tried sending it from there.  It did get to the person I intended, but she said it got to her as a png. file instead of a jpeg.  I even tried to send it as an attached file, which went out, but it went out full size, I did not see the option to make the file smaller.

I asked a tech from my IP provider, and he told me the best way to send a photo was to send it as an attached file.  He also said that Windows Live really isn't compatible with 8.1, and that might be why the photo when it finally got sent ended up as a .png file instead of jpeg.  There should be an easier way to mail photos.  With XP it was so simple.

So I hoped someone might have a different advice for this problem.  I really want to keep something like Live Mail because it was fairly close to using Outlook Express (which I really liked).  Do I need to give up Live Mail in order to email pictures without going through all this hassle?

Any feedback would be appreciated!
