Hi,

 

I have windows 7 operating system in my laptop, but it has a black screen and at bottom right hand it says "This Copy of Windows is not Genuine".

 

Could you guys please let me know what does this message mean and how to fix it ?

Is this a new install? If so, where did you get the install media and the install key?

 

If not a new install, was it ever legal (Genuine) and this is a new error message? If so, Google has lots of help on how to fix this:
