Just a really small suggestion, wouldn't it be better if the Windows 8 section was renamed to include Windows 8.1 in it as they're still considered as two "different" version of Windows.

Guess not that big a difference in the basics of both OS's for them to probably make two sections. I thought it was just an upgrade to Windows 8.

Do you really think enough has changed to warrant a separate forum? It's also not an optional update.

 

Windows 8.1 is really just Windows 8 Service Pack 1. Microsoft moved to a more rapid release schedule, and dropped the service pack moniker. I think it was pretty obvious the XP forum applied to all 4 versions (XP - SP3), and I think it's pretty obvious the Windows 8 forum applies to Windows 8.1.

 

Taking it even a step further, the Windows 8 forum was made separate from Windows 7 because of the Windows 8 style (don't call me Metro) apps. But the adoption of those apps has been very slow, and they are beginning to more closely resemble desktop apps. Since little changed on the desktop side, the Windows 7 and 8 forums should probably have just been combined.
