hi guys its been a while since ive been on here ! my problem is we acquired a laptop from the school for my son many years ago which had the net intellegence on it ! the thing is it got really slow and had virus`s and was a nightmare so i decided to factory reset it , but when it finished the reset it wont let me on the internet, i was told to uninstall the ni but when i try, it needs a password , problem is it was a long time ago when we got the [bleep] thing we cant remember the password ! is there any way i can get this laptop running on the internet again please , your help would be most appreciated thank you

if you did a factory reset, then it should have wiped out netintelligence as well....even if the system image on the laptop had netintelligence rolled in, it would have removed the configuration for it. it's unlikely that it would have set it self up the way the school had it originally.

 

if, in fact, events have occurred as you've stated, your only options are to completely format the hard drive and reinstall the operating system from a real disk (not factory restore, actually install a retail instance of the OS), contact the school, or contact netintelligence and see what they say.

 

that said, we can't verify anything about your story. you could very well be a student trying to get around an active licensed version of this software that was installed by a school and still expects it to be installed. not accusing you of that just saying we can't verify that that is not the case
