My daughter frquently works from a W8 laptop that she keeps at my house. I have started to use it. Are there things I should do to identify myself as a second user – so that my WORD documents don’t carry her name and so that I avoid other potential interferences? ....batpark

Hi batpark
The best solution in that case would be to create your own user account on her computer that you would use when you use her computer. This way, it will allow you to have your own account with your own documents, programs data, etc. while she'll have her own too
You can find out how to create a user account in Windows 8 : either local or a Microsoft account on Microsoft's website via this tutorial right here.
