On a listing of all the W8 keyboard commands (that Aura just sent me) I see (in the lower right corner) an invitation to “Ask Answer Desk." When I click it I get a set of sign-on pages. But it is not clear whether this is a free service or whether MS charges for it. (I suspect MS charges for it.) Can someone please enlighten me?

Let's see, right-click on Computer and select Properties, from there, click on Modify settings by your Computer's name and click on the Modify button of the new window that appear. What do you see ? Can you take a screenshot and post it in your next reply ?

The shortcut page you linked to doesn't seem to have any of the Windows 8 unique stuff, or I missed it in looking at it.

FWIW I have not been able to connect with that Ask link. I get caught in an endless loop trying to log in.

I can't seem to find where you clicked. Can you right-click on the link you're clicking on to get to that webpage, select "Copy address URL" and then paste it here so we can check it out ?

They'll only answer basic questions for free. Most questions require "premium" support that runs $99/hour. As I recall Microsoft partnered with support.com to offer this service. I'm not a big fan of services that attempt to turn product support into a profit center.
