Hi all,

I just wanted to post on here because I'm encountering something that I've never seen before. I use Firefox 30.0 and have recently started using the website 'Pinterest.com'. However, I will just be sitting there browsing the site, interacting with my account etc. and all of a sudden, I get the 'Problem loading page' screen:

Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at www.pinterest.com.

Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of www.example.com
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

This can happen at any time - within a minute of going to the site, or sometimes after a while of browsing it. I don't have this problem with any other website and it doesn't knock my connection out (I can still load other web pages). When I see this screen, I try closing the browser and re-opening. I try opening the site in Explorer (v.11) and I try searching google for the site and opening from there - everything takes me back to the above screen. I have also tried to open the website on an iPhone and it opens no problem, so it's not a problem with their server. I have tried a number of other things to resolve:

  1. Clearing browser history
  2. Allowing pop-ups for the site
  3. Clearing cache

The only thing that works is restarting my machine, which isn't ideal. But it's obviously reseting something, I just don't know what!

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be??

Thank you.

I would reset the modem 1st. once its back on and ready check if that helps any, If not 2nd i would downlad http://www.tune-up.com/download/ it takes awhile to run all the tests but i promise you, Your going to be so glad you did it. Let it do its work and then you have to restart your computer. when it starts to open windows again it will preform a DSK CHECK which takes a looooooooooooooong time. But its totally worth it. Let me know if you do not fix your issue i will think more on it :)

Hello, thanks for your reply!

Apologies for the delayed response, I have been using a portable modem and have not been experiencing the issue with it. Now I am back on the old modem and the problem's still there. However, I am staying at a motel and using their wi-fi, so no access to the modem, unfortunately :-(

I am only here for another few days though, so hopefully the problem won't follow me when I leave!

Thanks again for your help.
