I have an Acer Aspire 5251 running windows 7. Please tell me the best way to speed up and clean this laptop. Bought it from a pawnshop and it's useless like this to me.

Hi Colton :)

Shall we start by inspecting which programs you could uninstall or update first ? :)
Download and execute MiniToolBox. Check the "List Installed Programs" box and click on Go. Once the scan is done, copy/paste the content of the output log in your next reply and post it.

Hello! If you bought this from a pawnshop, why not restore back to factory and start over. I don't own a Acer but this is how to restore to factory.

Locate the Alt key, to the left of the space bar, and F10, on the top row of keys.
Power the system on.
When the system is powered on, tap the Alt and F10 keys together at the same time when the Acer splash screen appears.
It should state "Please wait a moment..." with the Acer logo in the upper left hand corner.
At the eRecovery Management menu it will ask you how to restore.
Click on the restore option you would like to use.
