Yes it's an issue as it can't cooldown your CPU, which makes it overheat
Alright, do the following :

• Uninstall Adobe Reader X (10.10) - It's outdated. Install the latest version from here. Do not accept the McAfee Security Scan Plus option, uncheck it before clicking on Download;
• Uninstall WinRAR 5.01 - It's outdated. Install the latest version from this download;

I would also uninstall avast! free as we will reinstall it from here. I would uninstall everything I listed, restart your computer then proceed with reinstalling avast! free.

What happens when you try to uninstall it ?

Avast! is one of the best free Antivirus you can have and a definitively recommend using it. And yes, download from the website I linked
Just be sure to not accept Dropbox during the installation.

yes.. here it is....A driver (service) for this device has been disabled.  An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32)

Right-click on it and select "Uninstall". If it asks you to delete the drivers, check the little box. Once done, restart your computer and go back in the Device Manager to see if it's reinstalled and working well.

Alright, download and install that firmware update from TAKEN DOWN - Apparently Chrome blocks it as a malicious download . Once done, restart your computer and tell me if it works.

I had to upload it on ge.tt as I couldn't copy/paste it straight from LG website. Follow my instructions then. Go on this website, go to the Software Update tab and download the first .zip file like in the picture below :

ok i did that... and... when it opened.. its saying it cant find the target drive...  and only giving me an exit option.. the update is greyed out

There's a Registry Tweak for the CD/DVD-ROM when they have this specific error. I just have to find the exact values for you to delete so nothing else is being messed up. I've did it in the past too.
