White Foggy screen

So basically, my dell inspiron 1721 Is having screen problem! every time I try to turn it on it has a black screen and a white line then it turns foggy white :( This happened yesterday after my cousin hit the keyboard hard and the laptop turned off but when you turned it on, it was doing what I said earlier 

  I dont know if I can fix it or just get a new laptop which i dont want to do :no:

Hi and Welcome to GTG.

First thing is to check all connections as one may have been jarred loose, and make sure everything is seated properly.

A hard thump on the keyboard could have loosened the screen to motherboard connection.

What exactly did you check.

 

Try connecting the notebook to an external screen to see if the display is ok on that.
