Hello everyone,

I'm writing to you all concerning the windows firewall settings.

I am wondering what apps and features should I allow or not allow internet connection through firewall?

Is it wise to uncheck all apps and features from allowed apps in the windows firewall settings?

Which ones do I need to check and uncheck?

I am asking because I was told that allowing an app and feature to communicate lowers computer security risk and allows hackers to hack computer.

Here is the list of items that are checked for allowed apps and features:

Dear Joey_Roddy,

I'm sorry, but I have to tell you this. You started four topics in the last month. You received help from different members who spend their free time to help you with your problem. But you abandoned every topic without letting the staff know whether their suggestions were helpful or not.
Please stick to your topic! It is frustrating if one spends his/her free time for nothing. If anything unpredictable happens or you are too busy with work or something, no problem. One sentence and the one who was helping you understands about it. But you are obviously not, because you just started your fifth topic.

Please think about your behavior seriously, thanks.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. It's obvious that you've judged me incorrectly. I won't be posting anymore on here. Now, you can relax and be happy. Everyone's happy. I know never to come here again; a waste of time when it comes to hearing from people like you who wants to bash instead of help. Thanks a lot; I appreciate it.

Before coming down on a person who is both your colleague and mine in that they are also a member of GTG as we are please consider the following PM that Xeni sent to me regarding your recent request for assistance albeit concerning a different matter;

Hey phil xsmile.png.pagespeed.ic.CwSpBGGvqN.png

Could you check out this topic here, please?
www.geekstogo.com/forum/topic/342345-network-connectivity/

I'm not an expert, I'm not quite sure what to do next. If it would be my computer I'd try different things, but I don't want him to try several things, which may cause him to loose his connection completely xbiggrin.png.pagespeed.ic.XhpYJIv77v.png

Or could you contact another Technician to take a look at this topic?

Thank you in advance! xsmile.png.pagespeed.ic.CwSpBGGvqN.png

This from a person that you now accuse of trying to "bash" rather than help you!

FWIW, after I received the above PM it was I that advised Xeni that I had not responded to your last topic due to you abandoning your previous threads.
