Bitdefender help needed

I downloaded bitdefender   so far no problems.  I do have a question though as I couldn't find an FAQ when clicking on the icon.  Can  (and how) Bitdefender check out one file, a USB drive, or cd?

Right clcik on the file or drive in question and select "Scan with BitDefender..."
