Ok my father gave me the mission to try and remove win8 from his laptop and put a win7 in it instead.

He as i hate win8.mabe just not use to... but anyway.

As you can guess the process had to be hard.

At first everything seemed to be ok

Put Win7 CD in and boot from DVD/W

Loaded files and everything selected some option then came the option to format.

I just could not.

It said i could not delete or format any disk. It was like partition 0 disk 1 to like 6

I was not able to format any to instal Win7 on the Hard drive. gg

So i looked a bit on the web and found this option

""" if you are able to read the windows cd/dvd, you just need to press shift+F10, then type diskpart, once it let´s you type again, go ahead and type "list disk"
it shoul show you the drives you have, yours will be "0" (default)
type: "select disk 0 "
here type "list partition" now you should see all partitions created on your HDD
now type SELECT DISK 0 again
finally type CLEAN, it wil take 1 or 2 minutes, now your disk is raw,
go ahead the usual way formatting , i mean installing your OS.
Hope it helps """"

I did it. Bam all the partition was gone.

So i restarted the laptop to boot on the CD.

and now im really screwed. ... i can hear you lagh! :yeah:

I cant see anymore boot devices...

i start up and go direct to bios.

i fear the worst .... but  seems to be a mistake i made. must be reversible

:welcome:    Haumepally,

Can I ask what type of Windows 7 disk it is that you have as in is it an OEM or full retail disk, a downloaded ISO or a burned copy and is it 32 or 64-bit, if 32-bit you must boot from Legacy Mode, 64-bit should work with any but predominantly use CSM (enable it).

64bit Window 7 Supreme.

Sorry but there is no such version, that asides I did not ask what version of Windows you had but instead asked is it an OEM or full retail disk, a downloaded ISO or a burned copy and is it 32 or 64-bit.

Have you tried disabling Fast Boot and Enabling CSM.

oh ... its a copy a friend gave me like 2 years ago. It say Window 7 supreme ....

On the laptop there was a Window 8 instaled that game with that Asus refurbished laptop from tigerdirect.

Just opened the laptop and there was this windo instaled. i cant give you much more info about that window 8 that was instaled sine i cant acces it anymore. My father game me nothing else then this laptop. if there was any CD that came with the laptop ... he propably dont have it anymore.

Anyway my primary concern here is about those drive .... not showing up anymore.in the bios.

I did try to enable CSM and disabling Fast boot.  when i save and restart, the status come back as on the picture....

im about to open the case and reconect the HD physicaly.
