my friend has asked me to restore his gateway ne71b series laptop back to factory settings ... he is totally computer illiterate and I understand most of what you might tell me to do without too much problem. 

 

please help me get this accomplished for him ... he's missing his laptop 

 

his warranty is over ... and of course gateway won't help unless you give them your firstborn and money
