Hello this evening I am suddenly having programs appearing in the apps column of the task manager, for example windows installer appears about four or five times, command prompt about three times and some others appearing with most having not responding next to them.
The computer becomes very slow until I right click them and close them but ten minutes later they are back.

Download and run ProcessExplorer. It does not need to be installed. See if it gives you any more info on running Apps.
