I have just installed Windows 8.1 on my desktop computer. I need help with getting the sound to come through my speakers. I can get the sound through my headphones but not the speakers. I downloaded the multimedia audio controller driver that I thought I needed, but still no sound through my speakers. Any suggestions?

Open Control Panel, Sounds, see if Speakers is selected.
