Hi,

  I am thinking about resetting Internet Explorer 11 because it is slow and non-responsive sometimes.  I would like to know if I need to save any files, favorites or anything else.  What do I lose if anything?

Resetting Internet Explorer 11 should maintain your Favorites. It simply removes add-ons and Internet Explorer settings like Home Page, Trusted Sites and etc.

 

I would make a backup copy of your Favorites, just to be sure. There are located at C:\Users\<username>\Favorites. You can also use the Import/Export Favorites Wizard:

 

Click on the Star in IE, then the little arrow next to "Add to favorites"

 

 

Select "Export to a File"

 

 

Select any options you want to export:

 

Then select the location to save the file:

 

To import them when you're done resetting IE, just select "import from file" in the import/Export Wizard, browse to the file you previously saved, and follow the prompts.
