Ok I'm having some problems here. Kind of ones that I don't think I've seen before so I'm needing a little help with this one.

My mother in law has a Dell computer with Windows 7 Home premium pre stalled on in and for some reason over the last year or so she keeps getting an error that reads
: Factory image disk low... critical errors on factory disk full

The first problem I'm having is everytime I check the image drive that is listed it shows 3 folders and all of them have o kbs used but says that it has 12.5MB free of 13.9 MG

the hard drive or C; drive is listed as 375 Gig of 475Gig free

would anyone know how to change the settting since I can't access the image drive to delete anything I don't have any options left..

Sounds like the partition the factory image (recovery image) is on is included when a System Restore point is created, it shouldn't be. That partition should never be touched as it's used to restore your computer to it's Factory New state if needed.

Right click on My Computer and select Properties.

Click on the System Restore tab.

Select (click on) the recovery (Factory image) partition then click the Configure button.

Disable System restore. (you want to leave it one for the C: drive)

Click OK as needed to get all the way out.

When you disable System Restore for the Factory image partition it should delete any System Restore points it created there, freeing up space so you should not see the error message any more.

I'm doing this from memory as I don't have XP any more but I'm pretty sure my directions are good.

Let me know if any problem.
