Hi fellow members

I have been using my current windows for like 6 months and it has started to be slow on start-ups .

I have tweaked startup programs and i have installed every single update for every thing but it hasn't got any better.

I wonder if it is because of my hard drive ...

Thanks alot btw.

Did you make any changes to your system prior to experiencing this, either software/hardware or any Windows Updates?   log into your sytstem in a Clean Boot state and see if you can eliminate any third party software that might be causing this.

Have you ran a full scan with your antivirus software or any malware/spyware removal software?

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here,  this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

Two potential problems shown in your Speccy log

The first could be an error on Speccys behalf but it shows that you have two AVs running at the same time, Windows Defender and ESET, follow the steps here to ensure that Defender is disabled.

Windows Defender
Windows Defender:
Enabled

Firewall
Firewall:
Enabled
Display Name:
ESET Personal firewall

Antivirus

ESET Smart Security 8.0
Antivirus:
Enabled
Company Name:
ESET
Product Version:
8.0.312.0
Virus Signature Database:
Up to date

The second is the amount of free storage space that you have on the C: drive/partition where Windows is, the free storage space should not be allowed to get below 25% so as to avoid issues, worst case scenario is that the drive will fail, free up some space asap, the same on the D: partition which should have at least 10 to 15% available for data only.

Partition 1
Partition ID:
Disk #0, Partition #1
Disk Letter:
C:
File System:
NTFS
Volume Serial Number:
C2E19C85
Size:
181 GB
Used Space:
164 GB (90%)
Free Space:
16.6 GB (10%)

Edit to add; Just noticed that the following is running on your computer PandoraService, this program is known to come bundled with malware so once we have an update from you as to how things are going I will provide you with the GTG malware redirection text.

Best to have the computer checked for malware but as a starting point uninstall PandoraService, you can let us know here if uninstalling it helps any but any malware removal can only be discussed with the experts on those forums, GTG malware redirection information below;

I suspect that you have some malware on your computer causing issues that we are not able to solve through means we can use here in the Tech Forums. I suggest you read the 'Start Here' topic found here. With these self-help tools you have a high chance of fixing the problems on your own. If you are still having problems after following Step 3 of the guide, continue with Step 4 and 5 and post in the Malware Forum. If you are unable to run any programs, Please create a topic stating what you have tried so far and that you are unable to run any programs. Also, Please do NOT post the logs in this thread.

If you are still having issues after the malware expert gives you a clean bill of health, Please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
