I have just downloaded Windows 10 and all was well until I tried the Edge browser. I found what
appears to be a scam writ large across the screen. I would think it is malware but I have tried Malwarebytes
in safe mode and also an SFC/scannow in safe mode but this warning box persists. Has anyone else
experienced this, or can help at all?

You've picked up some kind of malware/virus. Go to the Virus, Spyware, Malware Removal forum, read the first post and follow instructions.
Come back here once you get a clean bill of health if you still have problems.
