Lenovo Y560p, 8GB ram, 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor, Windows 10 Home

Today, as has happened on other days, the spinning dots appeared at 1pm, so I went out to do some gardening, determined to let whatever started without warning, do it's thing. I came back at 2.30pm and my laptop was still unusable. I had to hard stop using the on button and start it up again.

Task scheduler. I found this list and went through it item by item. I found there there three events for 1pm today.
User task roaming which competed successfully.
Process Memory diagnostics which has the message 'the operator or administrator disallowed it. (I did no such thing).
SIH. (Server Initiated healing) an insidious little action by microsoft, that had the result 0x802something.

Another strange event was silent cleanup at 1:52pm with the message that the operator or administrator has refused the request. (I was still outside gardening).

Is this computer still mine is in someone else in charge of it now?

Can you help me get it back or shall I just give up and buy and apple?
