here is the idea proposing the question ,

a large group of us play a xbox game that is online only. friends concur that the one vs 360,the one has less significant lag and "red barring" than the 360(same game).

when it comes to one company, one game,(though 360 and one cant play together), does a type of console determine the connection to that server?

and are there typically different servers built for each console ?or are we sharing it?

edit,

for clarification ,im not asking if one or the other has more lag or not. no. im asking if it itself has any  determination or affect .

i have this specific question for a reason.to close a debate. many claim old console is a cause of the lag ,then i proposed that "that" was not logical. and maybe the 360 is on this particular game is purposely ran on a less sufficient server compared to the one.

No, I don't believe that the xbox one would have less lag (if that was the main question) since the lag you experience depends on your ISP and not the console you're using. This would be like having a mailbox and a high tech mailbox. Either way the mail carrier is going to deliver the same mail to both mailboxes at the same address at the same time.

No, there aren't servers built specifically built for the xbox one. Although, I don't really have much experience on game systems. My theory is that there's some type of better hardware that the one has. Maybe a better network adapter or something

It depends on a number of factors. Some servers may respond only to XB1, others only to the 360. The xBox One has highers specs, and can therefore produce more images faster. I have done a side-by-side comparison of Destiny on the PS3 and PS4. The PS3 lagged in large open areas whereas the PS4 played it beautifully.

I think so!
