Sorry if my title sounds like a problem, lol. Anyway, I accepted a part time job which is to assist college students with their academic project and any other needs. So, one of them is taking up Marketing Management and currently has research project about Marketing Technology and Data Governance. This is my first time to encounter this topic so I want to be honest that I don't have any idea at all. Anyway, I started to check already a few basic things about Data Governance and I'm still looking for more reliable source over the web. I'm trying to search as well if there's a free webinar that we can attend so we can better understand and get more details. Just in case only you are running this thing in your office, may you please share with me your provider so I can check out their website or perhaps I could ask a few questions from you if you have a moment. Thanks.

In the UK, the NHS has a whole web site devoted to IT Governance. http://systems.digital.nhs.uk/infogov

Obviously it's based around healthcare, but the standards are identical. Also look at http://www.itgoverna...governance.aspx

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I got this information from the links you sent "The board of every organisation is directly responsible for ensuring it complies with the laws and regulations relating to data security, data retention and record management.

The penalties for failing to with these regulations are severe, from reputation damage, share price damage through to criminal charges, fines and customer desertion.

Around the world, data protection and privacy legislation is increasingly important, and increasingly onerous. This page will give you a quick introduction to the data protection challenge you face."

Well, it really helped me understand some of its details and I am looking forward to read all of the content tomorrow. Also, I forgot to mention that I read that Ghostery can provide more details about data governance. Thanks again!
