I'm using Thunderbird as a mail client and have several email accounts, some with ATT and some with Google.  The ATT accounts are fine but the Google accounts don't work.  It fails to connect to the server.  Another box comes up asking me to sign into my Google account.  When I sign in it takes me to another box that gives me instructions to purge the cache.  I've done this and rebooted the computer and Thunderbird and still can't connect to the server.  I can use Google webmail. Thank you.

In "account settings" "server settings" it's already there.  When I go to Thunderbird there are 2 windows; one is the email and the other is "enter credentials".  That's never come up when it worked.

This afternoon I called my son and he figured the problem out and told me what to do to fix it.  The authentication method was blocking gmail.  He had me set it to normal password and tried it and it worked then I set it back to OAuth2 and everything is working as it should.  I never changed the settings so I don't know how it happened.  If any of you gmail people read this forum you should be aware of this glitch.
