I have recently been problems trying to run commands thru cmd, and I think I know the reason. A few weeks back, I replaced my PATH default script with a Java script, and now whenever I enter a command it gives me this message. 'ping' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file. Ping was the command I had entered. Please help

Hi,

Before trying to fix that I need to see a log.
  • download CheckPath.cmd script and save it to the Desktop
  • right click CheckPath.cmd, then on the context menu click Run As Administrator
  • when the script ends Notepad will open showing a log CheckPath.txt also saved on the Desktop
  • Copy & Paste the full log to your topic

The change only become active for new instances of the programs, if the command prompt is already open when you run the fix, then you have to close it and open again.

You are welcome.
