Bought this thing brand new in 2007. Yeah, I know ... I need to buy a new computer ... but I have a work laptop and another personal laptop, so it's not imperative that I buy a new computer right now. Just want to get this one back up and running.
It came with Vista, but I'm going to install Windows 7. Old machine, old OS (but still supported, so good enough).
Question is about replacing the SATA HDD, which failed (repeatedly, until finally). Came with a Seagate Barracuda 7200 120 Gb (ST3120213AS). Motherboard is HT2000.
Was thinking about ordering this (WD Blue, 1 TB 7200 SATA):

I'm concerned about the "6 Gb/s" spec and the apparent fact that it is a "SATA III" drive (according to this site).

**** How do I know if the access speed and the SATA III will work with my current motherboard?
