Hello my name is kyle,

I recently built my brother a computer so he can begin streaming games on twitch so we got all new parts minus the HDD and optic drives. He has been getting a BSOD every few hours when he has his stream on and playing Overwatch. The most recent one was:

Probably caused by : memory_corruption ( ONE_BIT )

Followup: MachineOwner

The parts he has now are:

Asus x370 Pro motherboard

AMD YD1700BBAEBOX Ryzen 7 1700 Processor with Wraith Spire LED Cooler

PNY Anarchy DDR4 2400Mhz 8gb x2

Corsair 750W PSU

Nvidia Geforce Gtx 1050ti GPU

We have tried updating bios via Asus website, using driver booster ( which downloaded 9 new drivers except for a new Realtek audio), reseating the memory sticks. Not sure what else to do. One thing I did forget to do was to format his hard drive before taking it out of his old comp and putting it in his new one. Please Help.

:welcome:   Kyle,

One thing I did forget to do was to format his hard drive before taking it out of his old comp and putting it in his new one. Please Help.

You cannot take the hard drive out of one computer and use it in another and for two reasons, 1: Windows will try and load the drivers for the old MB and consequently crash. 2: Unless the Windows product key that you have is for the full retail version of Windows it cannot be re-used on any other computer, Microsoft will not let you update putting you at risk of malware infection and finally using the same OEM product key = software piracy and can get you into trouble with the authorities.

If you do not have Windows media you will need to download an ISO, do a clean install and then install the drivers for the MB and starting with the chipset drivers first.
