No worries, you are most welcome  :)

Was basically waiting to see if the Creators Update would install on it`s own but as it hasn`t I was going to try installing it again manually in any event.

For peace of mind, check Defender and make sure that you get a result the same as mine.

RE: The touch pad and mouse issue, how are things with those atm.

I have been updating the defender, I've attached 2 grabs.

My touchpad hasn't worked from creators, even rolling back, but sure, i'm grand with the mouse attached.

Looks all good security wise

Will let you know asap how the Creators Update goes this time.

Never use the touch pad and much prefer using a mouse myself  :)

Edit to add: Got further this time than last but at a little over 30% being installed the installation failed, tried to recover but almost instantly began reinstalling the previous version of Windows 10, this is Windows 10 Pro as well so the installation problems are not confined to Home or Pro  :(

How can I thank you for your time here? I was looking before for a donation button.

Again thank you so much for this help and i truly hope you get your own laptop sorted too.

Another wee question, which laptop would you recommend to buy in the future?

That is great news and thanks for letting us know

The intended use of the notebook would determine what would be suggested as in web browsing, school/office work or gaming etc, let us know and we can take a look around for you.

Btw, no donation required on my behalf but thank you for the kind thought, I`m just happy if and when a member is happy and if they let us know that they no longer need help.
