HP pavilion laptop(win10)

My HP pavilion(win10 OS) screen light is not coming on, it's so dark, i have to use my phone light to see apps on the screen, i check the display setting and every thing is properly set, as i put it to HP recommend. The screen light will get bright, and suddenly go dark again.. Any help guys..?

Those are common signs on older notebooks that either the backlight or power inverter has failed.

Can you post the exact model of HP Pavilion notebook it is that you have so that we can do some research, if you look here you will see how many different ones there are and why we need to ask for the details of the correct model.
