Ahead of boxing week sales, Im looking to upgrade my PC in any way I can. Here are my current specs:

Mobo - MSI Z170-A PRO
CPU - Intel Core i5-6600k 3.5GHz with after market fan (cant recall what kind maybe OCz)
RAM - 16gb GSkill Ripjaws DDR3 2133 MHz
GPU - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
O/S - Windows 10
HD - HyperX Savage SSD 240gb for O/S and most current used games
HD2 - 500Gb HDD drive (cant recall what kind) for older/ less used games and volume storage.
HD3 - external HDD 500Gb for backup

Peripherals:
Headset - Corsair Raptor HS40
KB - Iogear Kaliber gaming gkm602r wireless kb
Mouse - MSI Interceptor DS B1 Gaming mouse

A case is something I had considered and perhaps RAM is a bit of a weak link

I use this PC primarily for gaming but also other more run of the mill pc purposes (music, watching videos, MS Office etc). Obviously gaming performance is what Id be looking for a bump in.

Budget is about 300-500max

Any suggestions would be fantastic!

Of your list of parts above the GPU is the only thing that you should consider upgrading, you wont utilise the 16GB of RAM that you have already and the RAM is the fastest compatible with your CPU so that also rules out the need to upgrade to any other.

 

Couple of things we need to know, the brand and model name or number of the present PSU, the size of chassis you would like mid or full tower and in which country will you purchase the parts.

Power supply is a raidmax 600 watt modular psu Cant recall model but its about 6-7 years old

Im lookimg to go full tower. Current is mid.

Check the PSU links in my sig and you will see that Raidmax PSUs are to be avoided, one that is 6/7 years old should be replaced and have the cord cut off to avoid it being reused.

 

which country will you purchase the parts.

I know you said full tower but it puts you over budget so take a look at the Phanteks PH-EC416PTG_AG Eclipse P400

I ended up choosing a PSU from the link in your sig. turns out I was wrong about my current PSU which was a Corsair 650w. Regardless its being replaced.

I also found a comparable case to the one you listed so good there.

As for new GPU Ill now be saving a little longer to get that.

Corsair are a good brand but the CX and VS range are for entry level builds and not for gaming rigs.

I ended up going a bit cheaper on the case.

Not my first choice for a PSU but a 10 year warranty at least gives you long term cover.

 

Good choice of case with plenty of fans
