As a newcomer to prepaid cellphones (Tracfone) what's the cheapest way to add more minutes? Or some other company maybe? I live in west Texas.

I personally use TracFone, but am about to give them up and go with a "regular" plan. I recently went to Ohio, (I live in IL) and low and behold..my phone wouldnt' work there...yet worked perfectly again when I got home. ;)

I know someone who has a prepaid through net10wireless.com (bought at WalMart). They rave about it, and the "minutes" are 1/3 the cost of TracFone.

Go for the biggest "minute" card you can buy at a time. The larger the card..the cheaper per minute they cost! :tazz:

I checked out Net10wireless. Not available in my area. Also it looks like the catch on their 10 cents per minute deal is that you have to use up 300 minutes in 30 days, 600 minutes in 60 days, etc. I just want a cell phone when I'm traveling. I'll keep looking. Thanks.

I don't much use cell-phones now that I have Skype which is free between two computers and easy to install, almost no phonebill now but the person at the other end must have skype too.
