Compressed partition

Hi I have just upgraded to windows 10 and recieved an update from MS but the disck controller drive partition is compressed, I have been on line and gone to Local disk C properties and the compressed drive box is unticked. Going through the rest of the drives and there is no letter D in the drop down menu to change the letter in any compressed drive file they all have G so is windows 10 different, and if it is which letter is the correct letter. Or how else can I uncompress the disk controller drive so the update will work.
