Hello guys,

I have a wireless printer, Epson L386. I want to reset it, to factory settings, but I have a problem.

I have reset wireless router and I have forgotten previous wireless password. So now I can't connect to

Epson menu, and I can't reset it.

After a couple of hours searching I understood that Epson has not forsee such a case...

Is there anyone that has similar problem in the past?

Best regards

Can I assume you are trying to reset the network settings? If, the following should help.

Reset printers network: https://epson.com/Support/wa00377a2

To reset the printer: https://support.reve...n-Epson-Printer

1. Turn the printer off

2. Press the reset button on the back of the printer

3. Turn on the printer while continuing to hold reset button

After 5 seconds it will print out a warning not to turn it off.

After printing the warning, the reset printer will go back on the default IP address: 192.168.192.168

The rest of the article was setting up the Ipad to access the printer again so it doesn't apply.

Another web site indicated you would have to reinstall the printer software but I'm not sure of that.

Edit by paws: apologies to you 123 Runner, it looks like I was not quite quick enough with my typing!

Hi manin, take a look here:

https://www.epson.eu.../faq/4349/20143

That should provide you with the steps you need to take...

There is generlly no need to try and reset the printer to its factory settings, just follow the directions on setting up the wifi connection and you should be fine.

When connecting via wifi using a wireless access point ( often included within a router) follow the directions for setting up under "infrastructure"

My epson does not have an lcd display nor a reset button.

I have tried to reinstall the software and I can print with usb cable, but I can't connect it to wireless...

I will try it again on Sunday in case I missed something, but I am not very hopeful on that
