The reason I wanted to update the bios is that I have heard that it can potentially increase performance. Not that I really have a need to increase performance much anymore seeing as how I cloned my HDD to my very first SSD. I had to uninstall almost all of my programs and re-install them because of errors (I'm assuming the links weren't going to the right place or registry errors of some kind. Regardless, I got it all working again by un-installing and re-installing). So I guess it's not that important, and I haven't notice any errors or glitches.
