Visual voicemail crash

I've been having issues with trying to play visual voicemails for months now. I get an error message every time. Process android settings has stopped. I've reset my phone multiple times. It seems to work for a few hours after the reset then it goes back to not working. Also, my phone slows down when this occurs. Does anyone have any idea what it could be and how to fix it? I have the LG Stylo through METRO PCS.
