As I wanted a large monitor I have used my TV for the last two years with my desktop, and have always received a full screen view. recently, I added  another computer using an KVM-VGA splitter for the use of two computers with one monitor/TV. Now, with whichever computer is on, I sometimes only get a partial screen, and then sometimes I get a full screen view. This happens when both PCU's are on, or when only one is on. Can the lack of a full screen view be because of a faulty KVM splitter? if not, what can be the cause of having a variation of sometimes full screen view?

I don't think you have problem in your KVM splitter. I think, you ain't installed it very well in your system. I recommend you to reinstall KVM splitter again and after that may your system works properly. I have also read about KVM splitter in xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx website, in that website they say that KVM splitter only allows to keyboards into 1 system. I don't have much knowledge about KVM splitter, so you may contact their customer care. I am sure over there you will find your problem solution.
