Strange, I was helping a friend to make a  new SL account so  she can play the game with our  friends. But  the join box  will not accept  any letters  that  I typed. I ran a pc check and  nothing found. Can any one give me a clue?

The only clue I have is to try another browser and or clear your current browsers history etc.

Also:

On the bottom of that page at least on my computer it asks you to "Agree an proceed" you're agreeing to accept cookies. Try clicking that tab first then see if typing is permitted.
