Hello AstraNut,

This morning, I finally made the time to log onto the hosting web site and started reading carefully what was offered.  In about 10 min, I found the solution right there, and tested the process.

Indeed, they had a Protect a Directory link in the Control Panel.

I feel very embarrassed  for wasting so much of your time.  Yes, I know almost nothing about writing codes but still... I should have done this long ago. Thank you very very much again for sharing your knowledge.  I is appreciated more than can be expressed in words.

Sincerely,

DovBer

Great! No problem. Never a waste of time as many times I learn something new when problems are asked that I've never run into. I knew the method was in the Control Panel but thought you had looked through it. There are a lot of tools in the Control Panel. Many times I have rather code my own. So happy you got it done. Don't hesitate to ask here anytime you need help.
