Hi, this is a confusing one for me. I have been offline on my main PC since Friday 1st May, unable to get help from Talktalk; no real communication at all apart from a text saying they need my help to check my system at home.

The confusion is that I found I can get on line with a second PC; this one, and on wifi with a laptop or phone. I should add here that there seem to be many TT users complaining of being offline, some for several weeks. The PC I can use are inferior to my main system so I would like to get it back online soon.

The message I get when trying is that the PC is setup correctly but  won’t connect (apart from ‘Torr’ browser, which seems to have limited use) to the DNS. I was checking some things online this morning with this second PC and it was working until an auto update kicked in. I let it update but then couldn’t get back online just like the other one. I used system restore to go back before the update and I’m back online again. I tried the same with the other PC with no success.

It seems logical to assume that a setting has been changed with the update but that doesn’t fit with the outage info regarding TT. Still, I am hoping someone might have some advice about the problem. I am unfamiliar with settings that might have been affected, so if you think I might be right about something having changed please spell instructions out clearly. If not I am stuck in limbo until TT come back to life. Thanks.
