So the monitor I want to get is the AOC C27G1 27" 144Hz Curved Gaming Monitor. I currently have a 9 year old 60 hz Ben Q GL2430-B. And I want to link them up both through my GPU which is a Radeon R9 200 series. Now upon looking online there seems to be a bunch of mixed opinions on running two monitors at different refresh rates. Some people say that they do it and it works perfectly others say there is stutter issues if say you are gaming on monitor and watch something on the second monitor. Others say you need two GPU's as you can't expect your GPU to put out two different frame rates. So I am just very overwhelmed by the amount of conflicting information out there. So thought I would make a post about it and see if anyone can help my specific situation. Would this be possible ? Or would it be a waste of money if they can't work together harmoniously. Should I just buy another 60 hz monitor instead (although I really don't want to) Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Can I run a 144 hz monitor with a 60 hz monitor?
