So i have Award Modular Bios ver6 from 2013 on my computer. My PC has been freezing and crashing to blue screen due to some sort of clocking issue "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. A clock interrupt was not recieved on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval"

The error code for the blue screen is non existent. Just a code STOP : 0x00000101 under technical information.

I installed a new 8 core processor several monthd before this issue had started happening and havent installed new hardware since. I thought it was something to do with my graphics so i did a clean install and was working for a whole day then next day crashed again. Anyone able to help me i greatly appreciate it..

What information is needed. Not a fan of using 3rd party programs that scan my entire computer a d who knows what else. Never heard of Speccy before.

We would not ask anyone to do anything that they were not comfortable with and respect your decision, hope that you are able to get the issue resolved using other means.

 

Fwiw, Speccy is a world renowned program that is used on all the well known forums and it is provided by the same company that also provides CCleaner and Avast.

I Looked into Speccy and it is Awesome! Same with CPU-Z which is cool because it bench and stress tests. Here is the speccy info 

Thanks guys. My computer hasn't crashed in a long time. But I haven't played any games that really stress it. Steam has been running well. According to my bluescreen I need to update my BIOS which I don't know how to do safely but have an empty flash drive to do it.

My CPU might be getting too hot and causing it. I'm going to launch some things and see how it reacts temp wise. Maybe need a new cooling system for the CPU

Good point to check your CPU cooling system and hopefully it will solve the issue. There are also a number of ways to troubleshoot that error and regarding Speccy, I highly recommend on using that. It is really cool.
