Need to know the Operating System and the type of computer running. If Windows 10, attempt to boot to the Recovery Environment and perform a System Restore to a previous date.

Hello, thank you for the response. I took the laptop for repair and it turns out that the anti-maleware has wiped out my c drive completely. So a reinstallation of Windows is necessary, which means a resolution using FRST isn't possible. But thanks for being responsive and supportive. Best!

FRST can be used in the Recovery Environment. Was a reinstall done?

Yes, a reinstall was done. The anti-maleware seems to have wiped out my Windows entirely, so there were no files or programs to recover. I had to reinstall Windows 10. I'm surprised that an anti-virus software would quarantine even system files and label them as 'Trojan'.

HitmanPro is notorious for removing your ability to boot.

Glad to know you reinstalled Windows.

Best regards :)
