Hi, this seems a bit crazy. I work at a primary school and have been setting up a new tablet for a member of staff. The pin number has stopped working, and even a factory reset fails to get access, so new tablet is useless. Sort of thing Apple does! More detail:

-out of box, ran through setup, didn't setup Samsung account when prompted, didn't login to google account either. Didn't see the point, didn't want to login every time turned on.

-set a simple pin number (1234) and finished setting up. All working OK, PIN working/logging in OK - turned off/on, PIN still works

-come back following day, tried PIN, doesn't work, message, 'try again in 30 secs', nope, no good.

-managed to hard reset, went through setup from scratch, however when linked to network again, message along the lines of, 'unauthorised reset, enter pin to continue'... which, of course I don't have!

On searching a few other forums, others also have experienced this, though on other Samsung tablets, and they managing to reset OK, not this one. I'm wondering if this is a TPM thing on newer tablets..

Any help/advice appreciated, before throwing it in the bin!

, so new tablet is useless.

Take it back to the place of purchase, no reputable forum will help when it comes to bypassing passwords.
