I check the Task Manager every day and I noticed that the NisSrv was missing. My desktop seems to be working okay, though. So what happened to it and is it necessary?
Why did NisSrv disappear from the Task Manager?

Well...it mysteriously re-appeared, but now another process has gone missing.

The computer seems to be running okay. Now I can't remember what other process wasn't listed in the TM, but it may have been Team Viewer. That came with the computer when I bought it as a refurb from a computer store. Also, the audiodg process is showing all the time. If it was there previously, it would disappear after a few minutes. I keep a list of the processes that "normally" show up in the TM and I do check them regularly.
