Hello--it's been a long time since I posted here, but I really need a new laptop and was wondering what others' opinions would be on it.

This is what I found: https://www.amazon.c..._qh_dp_hza?th=1

According to the specs, it's got pretty much everything I'm looking for.  However, I never knew that LG made laptops, so I'm wondering if there's any opinions as to the brand.

Also, what are people's thoughts as to the price?  It's a bit more than I was originally hoping to spend.  But I know the cost of hardware has gone up lately, so perhaps this is a normal price.

I don't know.  Just looking for others' opinions, is all.

Hello diggeryo,

Most important thing that we need to know is what the intended use of the computer will be, no point in paying for all sorts of bells and whistles that will never get used.

That is expensive to say the least btw.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm happy with the specs for my intended use.  I'm not asking for opinions about that.

I'm more looking for opinions on the following:

  • the LG brand, when it comes to laptops
  • the cost given the specs--I do agree $2150 is a lot of money, but I'm wondering whether it's a good price considering a 4TB SSD, 32GB RAM, etc.
  • and then perhaps: others' thoughts on buying a branded laptop that has some parts upgraded by a third party (SSD and RAM, in this case)
