Hello all,

I'm a bit weged in between whether to pay a lump sum to a company who honestly are ripping people off for a simple setup or are over complicating things. I know knowledge is power so I am here asking for some help!

I have a thickness scanning device called Proscan which runs on a local SQL database. I have a fair amount of experience in dealing with simple application/os installations but haven't got a scooby doo on how to set the database up. After asking for some help with the supplier all they did is send me couple of historic readme.txt installation guide and a generic database setup guide (attached/linked). I haven't got enough knowlege to do this so would anybody be able to help me out?

I am trying to set this up in a windows 10 pc and I have:

Application installation setup file

SQL2019 SSEI Express

Microsoft SSMS 18.12.1

.Net Framework 4.0

Type of dongole is Deskey dk2

Database file

I would really appreciate if someone could guide me through.

Thanks,

Ash

Note that Windows 10 can not run any old 16-bit programs. 32- and 64-bit programs only.
