When I show you the log, what if the EventViewer log show confidential information like my computer name?

I was able to comlete the Boottimescan early this morning and the screenshot shows me searching for the boot time scan log. How do I find it?

From the page you posted, double click on Avast then on Report.

I have two files for you, one that is an error and one that you may be looking for.

Also, can I show you a video of what happens when I try to free up space with the Disk Cleanup?

C:\ProgramData\Avast Software\Avast\report\Aswboot was the odd path.

Attached File  aswBoot.txt   148bytes   92 downloads

Go back to the avast folder before bootimescan.  Look for a folder called report.  That's where you will find the file.  Also in File Explorer, View, check the box for File Name Extensions.  Without it you can't see what you have.  Obviously the Avast you clicked on is not a folder but a file called avast.reg.  We are looking for the file:

C:\ProgramData\Avast Software\Avast\report\aswboot.txt

There's a aswboot.txt in my last post. I think that is what you're looking for.

OK.  Didn't notice the attachment.  Boot scan is clean.  No infection.  Not even any corrupted zip files which we often see.  How long did this scan take?

I'm not quite sure, I'm thinking hours, I have my laptop in the basement and I ran boot time scan and went upstairs to go to sleep and when I woke up it was finished.

I am going to show you a video.

Main thing is that it did finish over night.

Doubt the forum software will let you upload a video.  You need to upload the video and give me a link to it.  WeTransfer.com works pretty well and is easy to use.  I use the same username on gmail.com as on the forum so you can send it directly to me or send it to yourself then copy the link and send that to me via a message.

Are you saying that if I send you a video as a private message, GTG would not accept it?

You can try but I doubt the forum software will accept it.  The software limits attachment to a very few extensions and the size can't be more than about 20K.  That's for the main forum but I don't think it's much different for messages.
