Doc: Thanks for your response. Please clarify for me how the Search function in GtG works. When I insert Smart speakers and search, am I searching the whole internet or just GtG? It appears I am searching all of the internnet via Google; right?
Is there a way to restrict searches to just the GtG forum?
In any event, in what GTG subforum should I post issues on smart speakers?
Thanks. ....... batpark

1) Should just be from GtG. Those "Ads" you see will be from anywhere.
2) Another way to search just GeeksToGo.com is to use the following string in Google search:
site:geekstogo.com smart speakers
3) http://www.geekstogo...nd-peripherals/ (?)
"Computer hardware including components and peripherals (anything connected to a computer)."

I'm sorry I was forced to delete the link.
Are you still having with your Echo device?
What is it doing?
I don't think you will find topics on the issue on geeks to go.
You may do better by searching on Google for Need echo connection help. Something like that mat lead you to help.
Here's a search already done.

zep516 and others: Thank you for your help re my Amazon Echo device. I will continue to look for a book covering the topic; be glad to get any recommendations. In the meantime, I am experimenting re using it; maybe that's the best way after all.
I am surprised though that Amazon produced the device and gave so little thought to its support. .... batpark
