I play old MMOs. ESO, BDO, and even GW2

Amd 5600x with very expensive cooler lol

AMD RX6700XT

16g memory

650W PSU

Win11

Black desert online micro stutters like mad. 10yr old game and the performance is bad. GPU fan speed spikes to 110% often, even when there is 0 load. MSI to control fan curve causes this game to crash. FanControl.exe wouldn't change fan speeds for me at all(noob).

Elder Scrolls Online I gave up on, unplayable.

Guild wars 2 works perfectly with no issue that I can remember.

I have done so many tweaks on BDO and nothing works. I can't change anything on this machine, undervolting, affinity masks, nothing and I am considering trying to turn off SMT.

There is info out there but threads are 2-6yrs old.

Also thinking of swapping RX6700XT for my old 1070ti and see if games run better, should I?
