Some features, such as smooth operation of network adaptor, have started getting finicky recently. Having some issues. Bought new USB WiFi adaptor this week to try to cure the issue. It sort of works but I have to manually set it to use a specific WiFi protocol (a/n/ac) every time computer starts up, doesn't work on auto. Decided rojinstall windows updates in case it fixes the issues, now windows not booting. Need help please.

I have done a system restore to a point this morning via the startup recovery system but it still won't boot.

Very greatful for advice. Thank you.

What is the make and model of the computer?

Is this an upgraded computer or new windows 11?

Is it stuck on a black screen?

Hi. Thanks for getting back to me....

It is a DIY build. 12 mths old. Built with new parts. Windows 11 free upgrade via windows update about 6 mths ago.

Motherboard is Gigabyte, mechanical harddrive and gaming video card. 32gb ram.

Sometimes stuck on gigabyte boot screen with gigabyte logo and wheel of death. Sometimes it says it's automatic diagnosis and goes to blue automatic repair screen.

Currently turned on and displaying blue automatic repair screen with two buttons.... Reset or advanced options.

Thanks again.

Try following some of the suggestions here,

Do not download anything, I am not an expert at these types of issues either.

Thank you.

Hnmm.... Only things there that I haven't already done werew the command prompt things. Tried those, no difference.

I've been playing with this issue all day and now done with it. Just going to reset the PC and save my sanity.

Thanks. Tried that. Didn't work.

I've started a malware removal thread as the symptoms are odd. Probably best not to reply here to avoid duplicate posts.
